Air Condtioning and Refridgeration Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia(AREMA) is an organization representing companies actively engaged in the manufacture and/or marketiing of air-conditioning and refridgeration equipment throughout Australia and it's territories.
AREMA members have agreed on a statement endorsing the use of natural (low Global Warming Potential - GWP) refrigerants in equipment designed for them.
AREMA is lobbying for certification of a national natural refrigerants training course and for tradesman's Commonwealth ARCtick refrigerant handling licence to include endorsement of natural refrigerant handling competencies. AREMA members helped design the curriculum of the existing NSW course.
If your company manufactures or markets air conditioning or refrigeration equipment or parts (including filters) you can join the Association by filling out a membership application form. Fill it out and send it to the secretariat.
If you know some one in the Association you could ask them to nominate you, otherwise the secretariat will arrange for a nominator and seconder.
AREMA's membership subscriptions are based on your company's turnover resulting from airconditioning and refrigeration sales unless you are solely involved in the sale or manufacture of filters where a fixed subscription applies.
